Diamonds Mequfi Special Resort_MozambiqueBusinessHotels_DanaToursMozambique

If you’re all set on heading to Mozambique for business but have not yet locked in your accommodation, we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite hotels for you to choose from.

There are some excellent options for you to mix and match according to what you need and where you need to be, but if in doubt, our Dana Tours team is always on-hand to help.

Diamonds Mequfi Beach Resort, Pemba

At the beginning of our five favourite hotels for business list is Diamonds Mequfi. It’s a fairly large resort, great for larger groups, with a superb setting to really knock the socks off clients and colleagues. There’s a wide choice of Luxury rooms and suites overlooking a beautiful crystal-clear bay, which forms the islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago.

The enormous swimming pool is undoubtedly the focal point of Diamonds Mequfi, as is the relaxed beach bar (ideal for casual networking sessions). Looking to set up a corporate dinner? The Brisa do Mar and Assinatura restaurants sit just alongside the water, whilst the elegant Sea You seafood restaurant is quietly nestled just around the corner.

Anantara Bazaruto, Bazaruto

This secluded resort hugs the pristine white sand beaches of the largest island in the protected Bazaruto archipelago, 30 kilometres east of mainland Mozambique.

The conference venue can host up to 60 guests, depending on your preferred seating plan and if you’re wanting to add-in a few team build activities to your trip, the surrounding marine reserve is a paradise for snorkelling, diving, fishing or boating around the surrounding islands. Delegates can also spend their time in between meetings and emails indulging in freshly prepared local cuisine and being pampered at the award-winning spa.

Nahyeeni Lodge, Inhaca

Nahyeeni Lodge cracks the nod for this list due to its breathtaking panoramic views of the Bay of Maputo and Ilha das Portugueses. It’s our top accommodation option if you’re looking to get your team together as an end of year trip, or just to schedule in some bonding time.

What makes it different from other business trip options, is that it also offers the choice to stay here self-catering. Teams can get together to cook their own meals in their fully-equipped modern kitchen and there is also plenty of complementary charcoal and wood for evening fires and braais (barbecues). It’s perfect for smaller groups, and can cater for up to 30 guests within the on-site conferencing venue.

Southern Sun, Maputo

We’ve long been arranging accommodation for our business travellers to this well-known Maputo hotel. It offers all the trimmings you could want and need during your stay in the capital, along with complimentary Wif-Fi, efficient service and a right-on-the-beach location.

Southern Sun Maputo offers four venues for conferences and meetings which can accommodate up to 160 delegates, along with options for beachfront celebrations and events and private dining areas. It’s also close to the local markets and architectural highlights if you’re hoping to squeeze in some sightseeing during your visit.

Polana Hotel, Maputo

PolanaHotelMaputo_MozambiqueBusinessHotels_DanaToursMozambique

The Polana is perfect if you’re arranging accommodation for international business travellers who have yet to step foot in Mozambique. Considered one of the finest hotels in Africa, this hotel exudes all the grace and charm of the bygone Portuguese era. Built in 1922, it stands sentinel on a hillside over the vibrant city centre, with sweeping views across to the Indian Ocean.

There are 142 rooms which span the length of the palatial hotel, some in the main building and some in a newer annex. Suites in the main building feature intricate wooden bed canopies and opulent furnishings, however the newer Polana Mar wing is more contemporary in design, with large paintings of local crafts dominating the walls, and bright textiles layered over crisp white linen. All rooms come with Wi-Fi, air-con and super-modern iPod docks and Nespresso machines.
