Headed to Mozambique this December? Important border information can make the difference to your holiday over this period.
Here’s what you need to know when you are headed to Mozambique this December
The Lebombo / Ressano Garcia Border Posts will be operating 24 hours for the festive period between 11 Dec 2015 – 10 Jan 2016.
Please note that this period carries the highest volume of holiday, business and tourist travel and due to the volumes, limitations of infrastructure and human resources, queues and congestion are expected over the peak days, so travellers are requested to be patient, and to prepare for this eventuality.
New Vehicle Regulations When Crossing All RSA Borders:
The South African Police Service (SAPS) has implemented new motor vehicle regulations that came into effect on 1 December 2015 that requires all drivers with South African registered vehicles and other neighbouring countries to carry certified documents proving ownership of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle needs to be in possession of a range of documentation.
