From as little as US$25, Dana Tours has created three day packages for visitors to discover some of the best that Africa has to offer. If it sounds too good to be true…It is not, here’s the proof and the motivation (just in case you needed any).
City tour of Maputo
It is possible to discover the capital city of Mozambique in just three hours. The flavours of Latino-Africa are brought to life in this unique city, steeped in history and tradition.
On the tour visitors will enjoy stops at Fortress, Central Market, Museum of Natural History, Railway Station and FEIMA curio market. You will also pass by the City Hall, Cathedral, the Botanical Garden and Steel House.
Some need to know points:
• The tour price includes museum and Fortress entry fees
• Morning and afternoon tours are available
• An optional extension includes lunch at Catembe which will extend the tour by two hours (five hours in total)
• Expert guides are fluent in English and Portuguese
• Museums are closed on Mondays
Kruger Park Day Trip
This full-day tour will take visitors to admire the world renowned Kruger National Park which is situated only 100km from Maputo. There is no need to be concerned with formalities at the border as your Dana appointed driver will be on hand to assist you.
Making your way through the park, you will have plenty opportunity to see elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and impala. If you are really lucky you may even come across a lion or rhino.
The tour also includes lunch at one of the many top-class camps within the park from where you will again have the opportunity to spot Africa’s amazing wildlife on your return from the Kruger Park.
Some need to know points:
• Some nationalities may need to purchase a re-entry visa for Mozambique (we highly recommend that those nationalities requiring a visa into Mozambique and wanting to do a cross border tour, have a double entry visa prior to arrival into Mozambique) .
• Fees include park fees, game drive in an open safari vehicle with professional driver/guide,
• Bottled water, light lunch and return transfers to Maputo
• Departure from Maputo is at dawn and the return is in the early evening
• Pack a hat and warm jacket
• Unfortunately children under the age of 8 cannot be accommodated on this trip. Dana Tours can be contacted for alternative closed vehicle options.

Hlane National Park Swaziland
Just across the Lebombo Mountains from Maputo you will be met with the Hlane Royal National Park. Here you will have the chance to enjoy a game drive in an open safari vehicle. Included in the tour is a birding/game walk which is truly not an experience to be missed. The walk can also be substituted with a mountain bike ride through the park.

• Some nationalities may need to purchase a re-entry visa for Mozambique (we highly recommend that those nationalities requiring a visa into Mozambique and wanting to do a cross border tour, have a double entry visa prior to arrival into Mozambique)
